Not Today

I'll admit, the past couple of months have really made me question my own life's worth. If there's even a point in continuing.

I've been reckless and have tempted fate a little too often.

And it seems like Death has been listening rather intently

I thank whatever angels are still watching over me. I'll be more careful, I promise.

And to the reaper, I have just this to say:

“There is only one god and his name is Death. And there is only one thing we say to Death: 'Not today.'”
